If it's steak you want, you simply can't do better than Peter Luger Steak House. Their reputation is sometimes larger than the restaurant itself! Folks don't come to this bustling spot for the ambience or service. The menu makes it simple: your choices are steak or one, two, three, or four. The creamed spinach and steak sauce (which they sell by the bottle) are out of this world. Daily luncheon specials include pot roast, roast prime rib, and chopped steak. Peter Luger is only a stone's throw from Manhattan (take the first right off the Williamsburg Bridge), and the staff is accustomed to ordering cabs. Making reservations well in advance is suggested.
